I need a Fix: Group Hunt

Postby Spotty Spotty Pony Girl on Sun Jan 10, 2010 10:17 pm

Yeah, sure it's 10 degrees outside (Fahrenheit no less) but I am itching to get out on a group hunt.

It seems to me some other folks were muttering the same thing as far back as early December.

I'm thinking January 23 or 24 if the weather permits. (definition of "permits" is very loose for me)

and yes I'm also looking for a destination.

Discuss.

I've been out the last two Saturdays, I'm game. I'm not tackling that kind of snow again unless I get some snowshoes though.

i can say that I love my snowshoes. I am only sorry it took me 3 or 4 years to actually use them.

So Gentleman-Carpenter suggested we head to East Liverpool, Ohio this coming Saturday (January 23)

It's a two hour drive (not counting caching on the way) and there is a nice little park once we get there.

As a bonus, we can return to Morgantown via Wheeling and stop in at Cabela-Land and eat at the Lube.

So here's the big question. What time does the caravan leave?

I may try and make this group hunt since I am doing nothing that day.

If we are heading to East Liverpool, let's cross the river to Chester and try GC1Q67A, why not here. I DNFed it Dec 12th. Maybe a group can find it. I still need the 4.5D, 3T for the Fizzy.

Let's talk about the meet-up time/place.

If I can make it - and yes, it will be another last minute determiniation - can I hitch a ride with someone this time?
wow.

A sensible meet up location where we can leave cars in Morgantown is at the Target Megaplex. I'd suggest near the dollar tree end of the lot (that would be on the left as you come up the hill)

I was thinking 9:00 or so, but feel free to make a better suggestion.

I haven't looked at the map yet ... what's in East Liverpool? I would be up for looking for the D4.5/T3 as I need that square, too.

You could ride with me (assuming I drive). That way we can discuss this home trade thing.

I'm happy to drive or ride either way it just makes the trip more enjoyable to have company.
